Overview
UBC MEL MHLP offers master's degree programs in engineering and healthcare that focus on business leadership.
I was the Marketing and Communications Assistant for UBC MEL MHLP (Master of Engineering Leadership and Health Leadership and Policy). I primarily managed external communications (socials, email, web), but also conducted user research, data management, and updated training documentation.
Marketing Campaigns
I coordinated campaigns for student orientation and graduation.
Here are a few examples of the videos I cross-posted to @ubcmel and @ubcmhlp.
My team coordinated a marketing campaign for #WelcomeWeek in January, where incoming students participate in first-week orientation activities. Similarly, my team coordinated a marketing campaign for student graduation in May.
Aside from social media deliverables, I was also responsible for drafting a campaign plan, event photography and videography, editing short-form video content, and summarizing each event into user-facing copy.
Web (UX Writing)
I was tasked with ensuring linguistic correctness, accessible formatting, and the maintenance of a positive user experience for a series of industry articles. I used HTML/CSS to format each article with visual and written content, as well as meta descriptions and organic key terms to increase visitor traffic.
Email Newsletters
I created email newsletters to promote new articles and annual student application cycles.
I was responsible for creating email newsletters for each new WordPress article, and for monthly outreach towards prospective students that subscribed to our emails. I created these email newsletters through Mailchimp and Sendy.

Social Media
I produced visual and written content for all social media platforms.
I created, edited and posted social media content on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, 3x/week. Posts generally were brand-specific graphics accompanied by a business-forward copy, but occasionally featured short-form video content and carousels of MEL and MHLP students. Graphics were created using Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva.
